Wrapping the Nashville Llamas Art Bus!

The goal of the Nashville Llama Art Bus is to invite the local community to see public transit through a new lens and engage individuals through interactive art.

The artist K. Llamas are asks “¿Como te llamas?” (What is your name?) and every month, she selects 10 names to create as llamas in the Llamas Art Show collection.

The BIGGEST Llama
Project Yet!

The Llamas Art Show is hitting the streets, literally!

This past summer, I was out in Colorado with incredibly spotty service
and suddenly, an email slipped through. It was from Nashville’s Ashley Segroves, the gallery owner of Studio 208.

It read something like this:

“GUESS WHAT.
I have great news.
You get a bus!!”

My response was simply:

“WHAT?!”

A few weeks later, I was able to sit down to a meeting with the very inspired Jason Minser from WeGo Transit about their initiative to bring more art to the streets… literally!

These special buses are not wrapped with ads or a public notice. Instead, Jason (WeGo Transit) and Ashley (Studio 208) are bringing
joy to the streets by creating interactive art exhibits… on wheels!

And so, the Llama Art Bus was born.

THANK YOU!

I never would have dreamed that this collection would be driving around Nashville.
So can I get a serious round of applause for the team that made it happen?!

Thank you WeGo Transit, The Studio 208 and our new friend Ben Ballington (who worked 8 hrs to wrapping this beast)!!

You are all amazing!!
