Description
The ladder collection began with the Socratic Dialogues Collection and has expanded into a series that is limited to 300 pieces that artist Kristin Llamas will create over time. Every painting in the ladder collection is numbered from 1-300, counting down from 300.
ARTWORK INSPIRATION:
The Ladder painting series is based on the idea that we are climbing to our most virtuous self. The rope ladder is made of real rope and would and sits on the front of the painting to represent the falls and struggles that we face to achieve our individual state of virtue. Ladder painting number 298 has feathers painted into it to represent that while we may slip and fall during our climb to virtue, we must do our best to float to the surface and start back on our ascent.
Virtue does not come from wealth, but. . . wealth and every other good thing which men have. . . comes from virtue.

Did you ever have a time that you fell from your climb to virtue and had to start back on the first rung? How did you feel once you were able to pick yourself back up?
