Surround yourself with the beauty & inspiration of the Virtue Ladders Collection as these meditative paintings center around a spirit of personal reflection and the climb to become our most virtuous selves. In creating this series, artist Kristin Llamas was inspired by the imagery of climbing the many rungs of virtue. Each step illustrates courage, wisdom, truth, and so on. This climb is one of the greatest challenges that we may never succeed in but are determined as individuals to move towards. In using real hand-constructed rope ladders, this internal quest for virtue and peace is brought to life. We envision climbing this real rope ladder as a figurative ladder, representing our journey through life. We feel the challenge as the ladder sways beneath our feet and often we fall with the struggles of life. But the journey does not end there. We are able to reflect, stand, and continue to reach for that next step.
