Nashville Artist Kristin Llamas and Leigh Hendry ask What is Truth? on the Socratic Dialogues Podcast

EPISODE SUMMARY

We are peeling away the layers to reveal the core of the onion,‘What is Truth?’, this week’s on Kristin Llamas’ Socratic Dialogues Podcast, Leigh Hendry is in the studio to chop it up with Kristin on this rather delicious episode. Stay tuned, and let’s get to the truth about truth.

SHOW NOTES

Getting to the truth is not an easy task, but luckily we have Leigh Hendry in the studio to help navigate this tricky conversion. Leigh recently retired as the Director of External Affairs at the Tennessee State Museum, where she worked for over 26 years, and now she acts as a curatorial consultant and arts writer.

We learned on today’s episode that truth is different for everyone, as Leigh states, “there is no such thing as ‘collective truths’.” This means that even though you might attend the same event as someone, it does not mean that you share their experience or truth about it, but can someone’s truth be altered?

Truth can change over time due to imperfect memories, history, and new discoveries. However, when does a person’s truth become a lie? Do you have to know the truth in order to tell a lie?  Truth is knowledge. To live our lives in truth, let go forward and gather as much information as we can to make honest decisions each and every day. Please be sure to share your truths with us, we would love to hear it!
